WHAT DOES "RIQUEZAS DEL CAMPO" MEAN?

Riquezas del Campo translates to "Riches of the Field" in English. 

WHAT DOES RIQUEZAS DO?

Riquezas Del Campo is an immigrant-led, worker-owned cooperative farm. The worker-owners are striving to build an economically viable,  environmentally friendly cooperative and sustainable farming business that serves our community and supports our families. The democracy of this business model provides a real and humanizing alternative to the exploitative work conditions, long hours, and low pay that characterize mainstream agro-business. 

WHERE CAN I BUY RIQUEZAS PRODUCE?

 As a cooperative, we are responsible to our community and dedicated to making nutritious, organically grown produce accessible to everyone, including low-income folks. You can find our produce at River Valley Co-opGo Fresh Mobile Market in Springfield, Grow Food Mobile Market in Northampton and Dispensa de Pueblo mutual aid distributions in Springfield, Holyoke, Northampton and Great Falls.

WHAT MAKES RIQUEZAS DEL CAMPO A WORKER-OWNED COOPERATIVE?

There are many types of cooperative businesses, but Riquezas is a worker-owned cooperative. We currently have 4 worker-owners. They are responsible for all aspects of the farm's work and include a field manager, sales manager, farmers market manager, treasurer and secretary. They make all major decisions democratically, about what crops to grow, a sales plan, and how to sustainably steward the land. As a cooperative, we prioritize doing business with other cooperatives including River Valley Co-op, PV Squared and Collective Copies and the Greenfield Farmers Cooperative ExchangeWe provide education and training to members and community about cooperative economics and sustainable agricultural practices. 

DO YOU OFFER INTERNSHIPS?
